Summer Reading recommendations
Here are some books students at Cascade Brook School recommend reading this summer.
The Forgotten Girl by India Hill Brown was a Maine Student Book Award book that received recommedations. It is "scary and weird. If you like scary and weird stories, you would love this." -H "It is very exciting. It has lots of mystery. This is also a horror book, so if you like those, you should read this." -K |
Smile by Raina Telgemeier was recommended. "It's a real story and it teaches people to always stay safe with your surroundings." -J The Amulet series by Kazu Kibishi was also highly recommended. "It's cool and if you like Harry Potter, you should read it." -A You should read these books because they have "adventure and excitement." -B "if you like magic and monsters, you might like this book!"-R Fablehaven by Brandon Mull was recommended too. "It's an action-adventure book series that has interesting characters, engaging plot and creatures and items as enchanted and magical as the books are." -N "It's full of twists and turns and it's a fantasy so if you like fantasy, this is the book for you." -T The Wild Robot by Peter Brown received some recommendations. "It is a good book, and it is exciting." -P "It has action, nature, and happy moments." -B And The Wild Robot Escapes was also mentioned. "She is a wild robot that takes care of a gosling." -R |
